THE Truth or truth : Different views on the possibility for knowledge

Three scientific views (positivism-scientism , Idealist , and Critical-Realist) are interesting to consider in their approach and acceptance of theory and knowledge. They each have specific views of the nature of knowledge, causality, and specific stances in relation to socio-politics of knowledge and philosophy of knowledge.

Dr. Steve Fleetwood's (2013) presentation has an interesting summary page on the three views and their defining characteristics. See Here

4 modes of reality under cr perspective, including materially, ideally (the only mode recognized by idealists), artefactually, and socially real.
